Hello,
After hours and hours of reading and tinkering with settings I come here to ask help….
The situation is as follows:
I am in Spain and have Orange ADSL with an Orange Livebox modem/router. My Book World Edition (MBWE) attached to router on LAN-port.
Access from within the network is not a problem.
Installed most of the Feature Packs (openvpn, no-ip, transmission, mediatomb) have not had the time to play around with these.
In my former home in The Netherlands I was able to connect to the MBWE remotely. With my set up now I am not.
My MBWE still has the same static IP of 192.168.1.116 and my router's gateway is 192.168.1.1.
I set port 21 on the router to forward to 21 on 192.168.1.168 and it didn't work.
Then after much trying I just started to open a bunch of ports to see if that was going to help anything.
All of the following ports were open to LAN address 192.168.1.116 (static IP MBWE) with TCP and enabled in the router:
LAN Port > Public Port:
21>21
22>22
80>80
119>119
443>443
1394>1394
5000-5049 >5000-5049
8080>8080
9091>9091
My MBWE info I found:

When I tried Port Forward's port checker application I found that of all my manually opened ports ONLY port 8080 seemed to be open. When I put in my remote browser's address bar http:/ /myip:8080 is comes back with "hello world".
But with http:/ /myip:<any port> it fails.
Also with ftp:/ /myip, ftp:/ /admin@myip, ftp:/ /admin@myip:21.
Can anybody tell me if I am missing something here. Or maybe someone can advise me which step to take from here. Or what I should check next?
Your help would be greatly appreciated!!!!
Kind regards,
Traveller
